INTRODUCTION

101 Introduction to Construction Estimating is a self-paced class that is designed to be the gateway to more complex and trade specific estimating courses.

This online class is designed to help estimators polish their estimating expertise and learn the basic skills that are absolutely required to produce successful construction estimates.

101 Introduction to Construction Estimating is part of the Certificate in Construction Estimating and Certificate in Construction Practices.

SELF-PACED

A self paced course can be started at any time. You must complete the course within 10 weeks but you can work through the course as quickly as you like. There are no weekly goals and no interaction with other students.

Work at your own pace. Your unique completion date is included in the registration email you will receive from our office. By the end of the course, you will be closer to earning the construction estimating certification.

This course will build a foundation of knowledge that the student will use while estimating virtually any individual trade or project type

It is important that students keep up with class and not fall behind. The class must be completed within 10 weeks as identified in your registration email from the registrar.

GRADING POLICIES

You will have full access to your grade sheet so you will be able to keep track of how you are doing at all times.

Your overall grade in the course will be determined by the total number of points you have accumulated on quizzes and assignments.

You will be given more information about the grading and other course matters in the Orientation Module.

The grading scale is as follows:

A

200 to 180 points

B

179 to 160 points

C

159 to 6140 points

D

139 to 20 points

F

Anything less will be considered an unauthorized withdrawal from the course
