Prepare for success in our construction related online courses!

PREPARE FOR SUCCESS

To be a successful student in our construction related online courses, it will take discipline, organization, dedication, and a desire to succeed.

Because many of our students are returning to school after a long absence from following a school routine or are first time online learners, it is important to utilize time and resources to the best of their ability when applying themselves to CEI’s construction related online courses.

CEI online construction classes

CEI’s construction related online courses and platform are designed for the busy professional, the working parent, the new and established professional looking to maximize their opportunities for career advancement by learning from construction industry experts. With a little preparation, students are able to coordinate their studies into their busy schedules.

To establish a solid routine, here are a few recommendations and guidelines to keep in mind. For your convenience, this page is broken into three sections: Time Management, Resource Management, Expectation Management

TIME MANAGEMENT

Set aside 3-5 hours each week and commit yourself to your studies. This will put you on the track to success.

Self-Paced

Suggested Study Schedule

  • Click on the Critical Course Information. There will be a suggested pacing guide. Print and use this pacing guide to mark your calendar when to submit the quizzes/ homework for the modules.

  • Print your class access email Highlight the dates on your calendar indicating when class begins and ends. You will not receive multiple email reminders from us to remind you to log into class.

Paced Classes

Suggested Study Schedule

  • Sunday to Sunday: A new module is released every Sunday. Work for that module is due by 11:59 PM PST the following Sunday. There are suggested due dates on the discussion board assignments. We know you are a working professional and it may not be possible to have your work posted. You are a student which requires you to incorporate weekly study time.

  • Log in several times throughout the week Make a concentrated effort to log in often throughout the week. Dedicate at least 3 days a week to login, read the instructors lectures, post your work to the discussion boards, and reply to other students’ posts.

WHAT TO EXPECT
